Roblox makes more sense when you stop asking which game everybody is playing. The game changes. The friend group and avatars stay. One friend wants an obby, another wants a tycoon, somebody joins only to show a new avatar item, then everyone ends up in a private server doing nothing planned. That is why graphics barely matter there. Being recognizable matters. The blocky outfit is basically your profile picture walking around. A sandbox platform survives because players bring the meaning with them. The polished experience is less important than having a place where the same group can keep inventing reasons to stay.
