rockstar wrote down its mod rules and people already turned it into "gta 6 mods are dead"

the actual page covers Rockstar games in general. it says no unofficial story expansions, no cross-game asset mashups, no ports to hardware Rockstar never shipped on, and multiplayer mods have to use a licensed Creator Platform. outside that platform, modding has to stay noncommercial. that is restrictive, especially for story expansions and ports. but GTA 6 still has no announced PC version, so headlines saying Rockstar just killed the GTA 6 mod scene are skipping a pretty important step. Rockstar's own single-player mod support page points straight to these guidelines. this is real policy, not a leak.

the no unofficial ports line is the one i'm watching. somebody is absolutely going to put gta v on a toaster just to test the wording

multiplayer going through the licensed creator platform feels like the whole business model hiding inside one bullet point
