gta 6 hiding treasure underwater is how the main story loses me for 9 hours

davy jones from flow games says rockstar showed diving gear, underwater shipwrecks and treasure during his studio visit with rob nelson. i know everyone is arguing about cops and realism but this is my weakness. give me one suspicious wreck off the keys and the main story is cancelled until i have checked every stupid corner of it. davy was invited to rockstar north, so i'm taking the shipwreck and treasure bit seriously. i am not taking every fan wiki monster story seriously. if some site tells you there is a kraken guarding gold bars under vice city, please use your brain.

yes i want the stupid 100 hour map

Short game people always sound so healthy. Eight good hours, respect my time, no filler. Congratulations on your balanced life. I want the giant map. Give me twelve regions and a frozen corner I will reach after forgetting the main character's motivation. I like clearing enemy camps. I like climbing towers. I like opening the map and watching icons disappear because I picked up another feather or memory shard or whatever. Is it repetitive? obviously. Repetition is comforting when the controls feel good. Nobody asks a crossword puzzle to reinvent itself halfway through. My favorite open worlds are places I can live in for a month. Finish two quests, wander into a cave, spend twenty minutes sorting inventory, log off. Not every side activity needs a beautiful story. Sometimes I need 600 coins and the bandits have 600 coins. Deep enough. The problem is not long games. The problem is reviewers and players pretending they must complete every marker, then blaming the map for their own goblin disease. I have the disease and I am thriving. Add another region.
