A character shouted, a radio ad screamed, a stranger did something ridiculous, Trevor arrived, then somebody explained the joke again.
Vice City can still be absurd. Leonida practically invites absurdity. But Lucia and Jason do not need to become delivery systems for punchlines.
Let scenes breathe. Let a bad decision be uncomfortable before the next billboard makes fun of a wellness scam. Fewer jokes can make the good ones hit harder.
