gta 6 moved sprint to l3 and 25 years of x button abuse might finally be over

mike showsha, one of the creators invited to rockstar north, says the preview build puts sprint on l3 by default instead of making you mash x or a. rockstar still has not published the final controller layout, and nobody has confirmed whether classic tap-to-sprint survives as an option. controls can absolutely change before november. this sounds tiny until you remember every gta chase has spent your right thumb doing cardio while you also try to rotate the camera. if the final game keeps it, my controller gets to die from stick drift like a modern machine instead of x button exhaustion like its ancestors.

gta 6 finally added gas stations and jason immediately robbed one

rockstar finally makes fuel matter and within like 30 seconds jason is inside pointing a gun at the cashier. beautiful. years of discourse about realism, fuel economy, immersion, stopping for gas. gta player sees register. anyway the actual refuel thing looks way less annoying than i expected. pull up, interact, done. if that survives final i can live with it. i give the community about four hours before somebody calculates which gas station has the fastest pump animation.

v-rock surviving gta 6 is bigger news than half these leaks

the plane clip accidentally gave me the only leak i needed: v-rock is apparently still alive. also saw emotion, dirty south classics, back country radio, symphony fm, circoloco records radio and a weird "on-demand" option under the stations. nobody seems sure what on-demand means yet. custom music? saved tracks? some spotify-style thing? could be way less exciting than all of those. don't care. if i can steal a garbage truck while somebody on v-rock screams about 1987 the game works.

gta 6 marketing is already more entertaining than half the games i bought this year

two trailers, a netflix early window, people arguing about preorder packs, people arguing about the lack of gameplay, people analyzing background signs like they are crime scene photos. i am not even joking anymore. following gta 6 before launch has become its own hobby. rockstar can disappear for weeks and somehow the silence becomes content. then they announce one thing and every site on earth has twenty articles before dinner. this should annoy me more than it does. instead i am sitting here making a list of what i want from august 27 like there is going to be an exam after it. we are absolutely the easiest audience in gaming and also somehow the loudest.

gta 6 should launch with cheats even if they disable achievements

Cheat codes are not an optional nostalgia feature. They are part of how GTA becomes a toy after the story session ends. I do not care if using them disables achievements or prevents saving. Make the rules clear and let me change gravity, traffic and vehicle behavior without downloading anything. The funniest GTA memories usually begin when somebody enters a code and immediately forgets what the plan was. A game this expensive should include official ways to make it ridiculous. Saving every strange option for Online events or paid items would miss the point.

the gta 6 ultimate edition is paid cheat codes with better branding

Premium vehicles, premium gear and special story content used to sound like the stuff you unlocked by playing or entered a code to access. Now it is an edition comparison chart. I am not pretending this will ruin the game. I am saying the product is selling convenience and toys before anyone has played the first mission. If an expensive car makes the early story easier, that is a paid cheat. If it is only cosmetic, then the marketing is charging extra for menu clutter. The funniest outcome is that I buy the basic edition, enter an actual cheat code and have a better afternoon.

a preorder bonus in gta is just an item you forget after three hours

The bonus car will be replaced. The outfit will sit in a menu. The starting cash will feel huge until the first useful property costs ten times more. Preorder bonuses work because missing a digital object feels worse than receiving a forgettable one. I am not judging anyone for buying the game early. I am judging the sentence I need this bonus when the bonus is usually equivalent to one Tuesday of playing. Give me a paper map in the box and I become a hypocrite immediately.

gta fans are extremely easy to satisfy

People say GTA fans are impossible to please but this is fake. Put in cheat codes, a tank, a good rock station and a ramp near the airport. We are happy. Let me reach max wanted level, hide in a fast food kitchen, steal the first stupid vehicle I see and crash it into a boat. That's the product. Nobody in my party is checking whether the satire has enough teeth while we are trying to land a helicopter on a moving bus. Rockstar overthinks us because we overthink ourselves. Give the golf carts good suspension and watch every complaint disappear.
