gta 6 launch trailer drops and people are already yelling downgrade at youtube compression
the new GTA VI launch trailer says it was captured on PS5 and people are already comparing frames to trailer 2 looking for a graphics downgrade. some shots do look softer. that is real. what is not real yet is a confirmed downgrade. different lighting, motion blur, depth of field, video compression and completely different scenes can all make screenshot comparisons messy. if somebody finds the same location, same time of day and same camera setup looking clearly worse, then we have something. until then this is classic prelaunch pixel court.
we do this every generation. pause a compressed video at 0.25 speed and suddenly everyone has a graphics engineering degree
