helldivers getting warhammer 40k is the first crossover i can't complain about

which is exactly how they get you. most crossovers make me roll my eyes because the whole game starts feeling like a costume rack. then you put warhammer 40k next to helldivers and suddenly the vibes match way too well. bulky armor, bad odds, loud machinery, everyone acting like the situation is completely normal. fine. i get it. that does not mean i want this to become the plan forever. one perfect crossover turns into five decent ones and then somehow we are doing a branded event with a movie that came out last friday. so yes i will probably use the 40k stuff. no this is not permission to turn super earth into the multiverse food court.
