graphics matter less than matching outfits
My younger cousins will ignore the beautiful game I suggest and spend two hours in a janky private server because all their friends are there. Honestly that makes sense.
They care about avatar items, matching skins and who has the funny emote. Adults call it shallow while buying expensive keyboard lights and profile badges. Same disease, different allowance.
A low detail game that runs on everybody's phone keeps the group together. The friend with the old device can still join instead of watching clips from outside.
Gaming communities form around access first. The shadows can look terrible if the group chat is alive.
