miami wants gta 6 banners but apparently vice city is the part they hate

the city of miami is moving ahead with a downtown gta 6 banner plan, but axios says officials asked rockstar to remove the words "Vice City" from the banners because city leaders dislike the nickname. which is objectively incredible. yes to giant gta 6 ads. no to the name rockstar has used for fake miami for 24 years. this is separate from miami beach's beach-chair deal and the county fight over airport branding. the city plan still is not a final signed rockstar campaign. real miami is now arguing with fictional miami over who gets to say vice city.

airport wanted to become vice city airport. downtown wants gta ads without the words vice city. three governments, one save file, zero shared settings menu.

honestly i get it. take the ad money, skip the fake-city nickname. the funny part is rockstar's whole joke works because everybody already knows exactly which city it is.
