gta 6 took cops off the minimap and now focus is my panic button

one of the better police changes from the rockstar north previews is tiny: during a chase, cops apparently do not stay marked on the minimap. rob nelson says you cannot just steer around their little vision cones anymore. if you need help, using Focus can reveal nearby cops, and TGG says it can even show them through walls. this is preview-build information, not a final hud manual, so the exact tuning can still change before november. i give myself six minutes before i use Focus, spot three cops behind a building and immediately reverse into the one i was actually looking at.
